As the founder of Thorburn, Bill is the voice and the eyes for many clients today. He actively manages many projects, bringing an elevated vision to the assignment. For the past two decades, Thorburn has been honored in every industry publication, from Communication Arts to I.D. Magazine. The firm has been named one of the most influential design firms in both North and South America by the international publication Graphis. An internationally recognized designer, Bill’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. He has also had individual exhibits in Japan and London and regularly exhibits fine art in galleries around the United States. Bill started his career as a graphic designer working with couture brands and today still admires Japanese designers. He holds a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has served on the board of trustees for the college for over a decade.
